Terms of use
Short, because the deal is short: the games are free, they are provided as they are, and there is nothing to sign up for.
The deal
You can play every game on hunch.games for free, as often as the daily puzzle allows, without an account. We may change the games, add games, or stop running them. Nothing here is a promise that a particular game will exist tomorrow.
Fair use
Play as a person plays. Do not script or scrape the site, do not submit automated answers, and do not try to skew a day’s crowd numbers. Every game shows you where you landed among everyone who played, so flooding a day spoils that comparison for real players rather than beating them. We rate-limit submissions and we will drop traffic that looks automated.
Spoilers are yours to share
The share block you copy after finishing is yours: post it anywhere. Please do not publish today’s answers, which is a different thing and a meaner one.
What belongs to whom
The games, the puzzles, the code and the design are ours. Your results are yours, and what we do with them is described in the privacy notice: they go into the anonymous crowd distribution everyone sees.
No warranty
The site is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. We do not promise it will be available, correct, or free of bugs, and we are not liable for anything that follows from using it, to the fullest extent the law allows. If you are a consumer, this does not take away rights you have by law, which in the EEA is a fair amount.
Streaks are not property
Your streak lives in your browser’s storage. Clearing site data, switching browsers or a browser evicting its own storage will lose it, and we cannot restore it because we never had a copy. That is the same trade as never asking who you are.
Which law
The site is operated by Hunch Technology, an independent project based in Oslo, Norway, and these terms are governed by Norwegian law. Mandatory consumer protections in your own country apply regardless of this clause.
